My name is Fiona Leary, and I'm a junior attending Stratford Academy. This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a month-long internship at United Way of Central Georgia, working alongside the Communications Director, Amanda Greechan.
School supplies may seem like ordinary objects, but their impact on children experiencing homelessness is far from ordinary. They have the power to transform empty pages into works of art, sharpened pencils into stories waiting to be written, and backpacks into vessels for knowledge. Recognizing this transformative potential, United Way of Central Georgia is urging the community to donate school supplies for the 50 children currently residing at Brookdale in preparation for the upcoming school year.
