Mission United 

 

Supports veterans striving to return to civilian life after serving our country. A navigator will guide a veteran through the maze of resources: from financial to legal to education and employment. 


Parents as Teachers

 

 This network uses an evidence-based model for parent education through personal visits and group meetings. We equip parents with knowledge and resources to give their children a stronger start in life and greater success in school.


Read United

 

Tutors help struggling students in kindergarten through third grade achieve grade-level literacy skills by the third grade. This early mastery is a key indicator of later success in high school and beyond. 


The Merrie Christmas Project

 

Providing gifts, holiday décor, and food to families in need during the Christmas season.

 

 


Crisis Line and Safe House

 

This agency is a comprehensive Victim Service Center. Victim services are available 24 hours a day via a crisis hotline. The agency provides safe shelter for victims of domestic violence, crisis intervention counseling, emotional support, support groups, and legal advocacy and courtroom support for victims of rape and domestic violence. 


Macon Volunteer Clinic

 

Macon Volunteer Clinic is a primary healthcare facility that uses the resources of active and retired volunteer physicians, nurses and other medical personnel to provide free healthcare to working uninsured residents of Bibb County. Services include but are not limited to laboratory analysis, non-narcotic prescription medication, x-rays, eye exams, cancer screenings and dental care. 


Daybreak

 

This daytime resource center provide services to individuals facing the immediate crisis of homelessness.  In Little Rock, Arkansas and Macon, Georgia, Depaul USA provides a welcoming place where individuals can get a hot meal, relax, wash up and do laundry, and speak with a social worker.


Boys & Girls Club

 

An affiliate of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national organization recognized as the leader in youth development services.  Clubs give youth a healthy and positive place to go after school and in the summer. Programs are offered in five core areas: 1) character & leadership development, 2) education & career development, 3) health & life skills, 4) the arts and 5) sports, fitness & recreation.


American Red Cross

 

A humanitarian organization providing assistance to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
