Promoting Mental Wellness through United Way Programs

Life is a beautiful journey, but it comes with its share of challenges. Our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, collectively known as mental health, plays a crucial role in shaping how we navigate those challenges. One in five adults struggle with some form of mental health issue annually, while one in twenty experiences a severe condition within a year.

Volunteering: A Win-Win for You and Your Community

Volunteers play a crucial role in our success, just as they do in many other nonprofit organizations in Central Georgia. Volunteering has a lot more value than just being kind; Independent Sector, a nonprofit organization that tracks volunteer hours across the nation, estimates that in 2023 volunteer time was worth $31.80 an hour.

United to End Homelessness highlights resources of local providers as temperatures are forecasted to drop

Routine shelter services will also be available at Brookdale Resource Center and the Salvation Army shelter.
