One World Link Program Manager
 
Position description:
The mission of One World Link (OWL) is to use local resources to address community challenges. As an organization, we focus not on diversity (mere representation), but insist on equity (outcomes). We have a deep commitment to social justice and economic empowerment. This new position of Program Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the AmeriCorps program in Macon, Georgia. This includes providing supervision for 10 full-time AmeriCorps members, ensuring ALL state and federal guidelines are adhered to and providing on-going member development for the AmeriCorps members. The Program Manager reports directly to the Program Director. The position is expected to begin August 1st, 2019. The skills required for this position include:
-A strong and demonstrated commitment to civic engagement
-Strong ties to the Macon community
-Being detail oriented and having strong organizational skills
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Experience and background providing trainings
-Supervision experience
-Being comfortable discussing issues of race, justice and equity and interacting with people of different backgrounds
 
An ideal candidate will have the following:
-College degree from an accredited college or university in the area of social work, psychology, sociology, business, management or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
-A history of national and/or community service including military, Peace Corps or AmeriCorps experience (AmeriCorps service or experience is a bonus)
-A demonstrated commitment to the Macon community
-At least three years of experience in a supervisory role
-Commitment to the mission of the OWL and achieving equitable outcomes for the residents of Macon
