United Way Kickoff 2007

United Way kicked off this year's campaign on September 6 at the Cox Capitol Theatre.  Kickoff premiered Make It Better, produced by 13WMAZ's Cindy Hill, with an original song written and performed by Dean Brown.

Save-A-Lot Holds Pancake Breakfast


In celebration of 100% participation and exceeding their employee campaign goal, Manger Rico Freeman and Captain Terry Hartley and Lieutenant Tommy Beatty of the Bibb County Fire Department help cook pancakes to thank employees for their generosity.


Save-A-Lot employees busted the mercury on their goal thermometer by raising $17268 for 2007--15% more than last year!

Publix Raises $105, 995! Great Job!


With Valentines Day around the corner, United Way showed a little love for Publix employees by handing out stickers that read, "United Way Heart's Publix" to thank employees for the outstanding job they do to help United Way and the Central Georgia community. The three Publix locations in the Central Georgia Community raise a total of $105,995 making them one of our top ten contributors.

Baldwin County Board of Education Raises $12,000!

Baldwin County Board of Education celebrated their 18% campaign increase with a pizza party for their school coordinators! Thanks to Campaign Coordinator Ola Scott and the entire team at the BOE. Great Job!

Save-A-Lot Distribution Center Presents Corporate Check to United Way



Rico Freeman, manager of Save-A-Lot Distribution Center, and members of the campaign committee, present a corporate check for $14596 to United Way of Central Georgia. Save-A-Lot matches all employee pledges 100%. For two years in a row, this distribution center has been number one in the nation among Save-A-Lot Distribution Centers in employee pledges.
